Mohammad Saifullah is a seasoned business leader with over 22 years of experience in leadership roles across multinational and local business groups. He has developed strong expertise in farmer-aligned supply chain development, innovation, business development, grassroots market access, and organizational transformation. He has successfully engaged commercial and impact investors for debt, equity, and grant funding.
Saifullah played a key role in launching significant ventures, including Bangladesh’s largest superstore brand, the country’s first forward market for farmers, a dairy business in partnership with global milk producer Fonterra, and the Shrimp Processing and Export business. He also led a European investment in the seafood processing industry, focusing on premium Black Tiger shrimp for the global market. Currently, he is setting up a food supply chain network in the Asia Pacific Region for the export of fresh and frozen food, further expanding his influence in the global food supply chain.
With extensive experience in leading and optimizing seafood supply chains, Mohammad Saifullah has a proven track record of driving operational efficiency and cost reduction across the supply chain. By implementing strategic initiatives and leveraging advanced technologies, he has built sustainable supply chain models that adhere to strict social, environmental, and quality standards. His expertise in end-to-end supply chain management has consistently resulted in achieving sales and financial targets, while also expanding customer bases in both food service and retail markets. Saifullah’s focus on supply chain innovation has also been instrumental in ensuring long-term success.
His ability to access grassroots farmers and fishermen using development funds through inclusive business models has been instrumental in securing support from global development agencies such as FMO, PFAN, World Bank, USAID, SIDA, Danida, and other organizations. He has presented Climate Resilient Sustainable Shrimp Value Chain Model at international forums in Africa, the Netherlands, Thailand, and Cambodia. Saifullah has also attracted grants to develop Bangladesh’s agriculture and food sectors.
Committed to sustainability, Saifullah has spearheaded projects aimed at climate change, women empowerment, poverty reduction, and rural development. During last decade, he oversaw over 30,000 community engagement programs, reaching more than one million farmers.
With hands-on experience in organizational transformation, Saifullah has collaborated with global consultants like PWC, Tata Consulting, Technopack, and Hardiman, driving strategic changes in local and multinational companies, and positioning them as market leaders.
Saifullah holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Bangladesh. He has also completed two diplomas in Food Safety and Entrepreneurship from Denmark, and a diploma in Sustainability from Sweden, further enhancing his ability to drive impactful and sustainable business models across various sectors.
